THE TRAINING OF YIQUAN |
![]() |
Yiquan is
practiced both individually and in groups.
Both ways are important for the
training progress and complement each other. |
Training in the group enables to practice with like-minded people and thus use the dynamics and the power of the group for the own training and development. New things can be learned and tested together with other people. Partner exercises are practiced, which are important to understand the matter; also the own training is corrected. |
| Training in the group is marked by: | ||||
Mutual high regard and tolerance
Willingness to help and support especially inexperienced colleagues
Respect for advanced colleagues and teachers
Patience, discipline and self-motivation
Together instead of against each other (especially in partner exercises)
In general, the training is open to everyone: men, women, young and old people, beginners and more advanced students. Together, we go back to where every movement, be it thought or physical movement, is born; into the silence of our self. For people not interested in martial arts Yiquan offers the possibility to look into the aspects of meditation and health care only. |
